Company History

Standard Rubber Development Corp. and TNP Agricultural Development Corp. was established in 1978, by the Tan and Pacheco families. At the helm were Mr. Benito Tan and the late Mr. Nerio Tan and their partners the late Mr. Francisco Pacheco Sr. and the late Ms. Carmen M. Pacheco.

Both families offered their strengths in business which created the synergy that resonates in the company to this day. The Pacheco family took charge of purchasing and production and the Tan family handled finance and marketing.

As the company grew new officers from within the two families were added, namely Mr. Jose Emmanuel “Butch” Pacheco and Ms. Christina Pacheco-Tapia, who took over the purchasing and production side. Mr. Erwin Tan and Ms. Wendy Tan So-Tacuboy were tasked to head finance and marketing.

As expansion continued other officers were needed, still maintaining the “family business” mantra at its core. Mr. Miguel Emmanuel Pacheco and Ms. Carmella Teresa Pacheco-Rubio, headed the Zamboanga operation. They started to sell to the local market within 2 years.

With the experience and expertise gained through the years, SRDC was able to streamline their process workflow. With optimized production they began to shell out more processed rubber which posed a good problem - to find new markets for the surplus rubber. They took a bold step in 1983 as the company began to export their excess production to Taiwan, Malaysia and China. Starting from 200-300 metric tons per month to 2500mt monthly. This new opportunity was a resounding success as the ratio of export business overtook local market sales

In 2004 they retired the old companies and established Standeco Rubber Development Corp.(SRDC), Superb Rubber Dev. Corp., SPR Development Co. Inc. and TAPADECO Inc. The establishment of the new companies and the immense expansion of operation came with new sets of board of directors, still within the founding families.

With a renewed thrust and focus, SRDC expanded its operation from Makilala North Cotabato to Zamboanga de Sibugay, producing a combined capacity of 4000mt per month and still growing.

SRDC also established their own rubber plantation in 2008 to provide a more suitable supply of raw materials and also for research and development purposes.

As of date, SRDC exports its processed rubber products to our Asian neighbors (China, Indonesia, Malaysia, Taiwan, Vietnam) and in Europe (Germany).

2022 sees SRDC celebrating its 45th year in the Philippine rubber export industry. And we hope to continue this journey with you as a partner!
